NOTICE OF ANNUAL PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

The Annual Meeting of Chrishall Parish Council will be held on Tuesday 5th May 2026 at 6.30pm, Chrishall Village Hall, Crawley End, to transact the business shown in the Agenda below.  Public and press are invited to attend.

Council to Note: A Council cannot lawfully decide on any matter that is not specified. (LGA 1972 sch 12 para 10 (2)) (b )a summons to attend the meeting, specifying the business proposed to be transacted at the meeting, and authenticated by the proper officer of the council, shall be sent to every member of the council by an appropriate method.

RESOLUTION: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith agrees the minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 3rd March 2026

  1. a) Monthly Payments:

RESOLUTION: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith minutes the approval of the schedule of receipts and payments for April 2026 sent to all Councillors by email that were unanimously approved by emails to the Parish Clerk

  1. b) RESOLUTION: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith minutes the approval of the year end 2026 bank reconciliation sent to all Councillors by email in advance of the meeting
  2. c) Audit:
  3. i) PROPOSAL: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith agrees to accept the findings of the internal auditor and agrees to take appropriate action to ensure any recommendations are implemented.
  4. ii) PROPOSAL: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith review the effectiveness of the system of financial controls and make recommendations to ensure all risk is minimised

iii) PROPOSAL: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith agree by resolution to ensure the electorate is able to exercise its public right to inspect the Parish Council accounts for a single period of 30 working days commencing 15th June to 17th July 2025 including the first two weeks of July

  1. iv) PROPOSAL: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith review and agree by resolution the Annual Governance Statement for 2025/26
  2. v) PROPOSAL: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith agree by resolution the Accounting Statement for 2025/26:

RESOLUTION: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith agrees to appoint Broadmead Leisure Ltd to repair the boat in the sum of £1,800 including removal of surrounding tyres

RESOLUTION: That Chrishall Parish Council herewith appoints Broadmead Leisure Ltd to replace the roof on the slide unit in the sum of £580

  1. Schedule of works update.

2026.45           Environment:

  1. Increase in dog waste left on private frontages, footpaths, being hung in bags in hedges, left on fences, put into private household bins by persons unknown: map to be installed to gates: update Cllr Gravett.
  2. Biodiversity and pond surveys: reports awaited.

Dark Lane: safety audit re suitability for motorised vehicles: reported 31.10.2025 Reference Number: 4002562 Issue: obstruction of PRoW

Location: byway 3 Chrishall: ECC states suitable for vehicle use. Residents ongoing concern that the route is not fit for all users and all purposes. On hold due to ECC elections.
