A big thank you to all the 15 householders who helped collect litter from all parts of the village this past week. Although we had a fairly good response, we could have done with more help as some volunteers had to cover more than one area.
Between us we collected 34 bags of rubbish including lots of wine and beer bottles, together with old tyres, pool lining, and wire netting!
Our thanks must go to the organisers, Helen Melville-Smith and Carol Wootton, for all the work involved in arranging this event.
