It’s nearly Spring, which means we’re gearing up for Sunday cricket on Jigney’s Meadow! Chrishall Cricket Club had a decent season in 2022, with four wins including a nerve-biting final ball triumph in Bishop’s Stortford and bragging rights over Arkesden. The team boasts some excellent young players and several more experienced hands, but – if you’re keen – we’re always looking for new talent.
On 28th January, Chrishall CC hosted its annual Awards Dinner at The Red Cow. Thirty-three players, partners and supporters joined us for a special evening of celebration, with recognition for several outstanding performances, plus a few less desirable awards (Most Ducks of the Season, anyone?). We were delighted to be joined by the newly appointed President of the club, Sir Alan Hazelhurst, as well as other loyal members of our cricket family.
We have a full roster of games planned for this summer, starting on 7th May and running until 3rd September, including at least 10 home games. If you fancy a relaxing afternoon of sport, please join us on the Meadow from 1.30pm (usually). We can offer a cup of tea and guaranteed entertainment!
