In the early hours of Saturday morning on 13.4.2024 there appears to have been damage to properties in Crawley End. At least nine residents have reported that it has happened to them.
The sort of damage seems to be:
Bolt cropping of padlocks and padlock chains
Jemmying locks and padlocks on outbuildings
Destruction of door handle/locks on garage doors to gain entry
Destruction of security lighting
A smashed conservatory window
There have been posts and comments on Facebook
It all seems very pointless as nothing appears to have been stolen even though the perpetrators had access to valuable garden machinery and tools. Of course there is a cost to the repairs required.
