Chrishall’s annual litter pick traditionally takes place on a Saturday in late February/early March. It is organised by residents with the support of the Parish Council. It has been successfully led by two residents in recent years who decided to retire from the role in 2022. We are looking for new organisers to run this year’s event, possibly two friends or a family with school-aged children. Most of the work involved takes place on the day itself but it includes:
1. Helping to publicise the event via social media
2. Handing out equipment and allocating ‘rounds’ on the morning of the litter pick
3. Collecting in the equipment
4. (Optional) organising hot drinks/snacks for returning volunteers
5. Contacting UDC to request collection of the waste
If you or your family would like to put yourselves forward to lead this year’s very worthwhile event (on a date that is convenient for you), please contact the Parish Council. All equipment and the necessary risk assessment are supplied.
