Next week we will be operating a full collection service to empty recycling bins and food waste caddies, and on the usual days that residents have come to expect. Alongside our own vehicles and crews, we will be using additional trucks and staff to provide extra capacity to work through that extra volume. By next week, every home will have missed one recycling collection, and have four weeks of waste to collect, rather than two. Bins will take longer to empty, and trucks will fill up more quickly and need to head off to be emptied sooner, so each truck will take longer to get round that usual. We will aim to compensate for this by having more trucks and crews on the road next week than usual, but both operating our own full fleet and keeping on board some of the extra capacity we have called on from elsewhere this week and last week. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we aim to complete that catch up next week, so that the following week can be a full return to normal.
We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused and thank you for your understanding.
